Our Mission is to eliminate teacher funded classrooms by outfitting them with the supplies they need for their students to compete in an ever changing world.
It started with six.
Then as each group of six spun off another group of six, the revolutions became a momentum.
The Power of Six proves that six people can create an exponential turning of goodwill that has no end.
Six to the power of six is all it takes to make sure that 50,000 students on free or reduced lunches have the school supplies and core tools they need to give it their best, to feel like they belong, to know others believe in them. To compete and be prepared for success.
In six weeks, we will prove it.
Six people at a time can make sure one needy student is outfitted with school supplies by giving unused or gently used office supplies or financial donations. Then each of those six will recruit another six, and so on. In six revolutions, we will have cared for over 47,000 students.
The need exists for public schools across Colorado …so we’ll start the Power of Six across the State and build further.
This year, pens and paper. Next year, computers and laptops.
We can give these students the hope and belief and leg up so Colorado’s most challenged becomes the future who deciphers our society’s challenges. We can eradicate teacher-funded classrooms and annual school supply drives for pencils, pens and laptops to compete.
Believe in the power of what six people can do. We will show the country how Colorado is building hope for those who need it most.
Six people at a time.
We officially began in June 2009!
